Gilded Peaks
FRAMED BESPOKE ARTWORK COMMISSIONED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR IN NYC
Created to complement a bespoke black and gold coffee table, this large-scale textile piece was designed for a wooden niche in the client’s home. We selected a black frame, hand-finished with India ink, to provide contrast and definition within the space.
The composition was developed through an approved sketch and brought to life using a combination of weaving, crochet, and hand-knotting techniques.
Materials included matte black cotton and golden fibers, chosen to echo the room’s palette and create subtle movement and depth.

Lila
FRAMED CROCHET ARTWORK
Lila was created during a quiet, reflective moment in my practice — a piece made freely, with no brief or collector in mind. It was born from emotion and memory, a way to honor my great-auntie Lila, who was like a mother to me.
Crocheted entirely by hand and framed in a soft, rounded frame, the piece speaks to tenderness, loss, and love. The neutral tones and subtle textural shifts give it a quiet strength — a tribute to someone whose heart was raw, pure, and constant.
This artwork marks a new chapter in my exploration of crochet within textile art, blending sculptural presence with personal narrative.

Frame V
SMALL FRAMED ARTWORK COMMISSIONED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR IN PORTUGAL
This small-scale textile artwork was commissioned as a birthday gift, created in collaboration with a private collector who was drawn to my Framed STRATA Series. Inspired by the layered, geometric aesthetic of that collection, we developed a one-of-a-kind piece with its own rhythm and texture.
The work was made using neutral-toned fibers and combines macramé, weaving, and sewing techniques. Layer upon layer was built up by hand to create depth and a subtle 3D effect, giving the piece a sculptural presence despite its compact size.

Breathe 003
FRAMED ARTWORK COMMISSIONED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR IN FRANCE (IN COLLABORATION WITH ARTISTE CULTURE)
Breathe 002 was commissioned by a private collector in France, inspired by my original Breath artwork and the mountains of my hometown. The client gave me full creative freedom, allowing each “wave” to develop intuitively and organically.
Using weaving and twisted rope in a natural tone, the piece evokes the calm, fresh air, and meditative presence of mountain landscapes. This freedom in the creative process helped shape a unique interpretation that harmonizes with the client’s space while carrying the essence of place and breath.

Duality
FRAMED ARTWORK
Duality is a personal exploration of contrast and balance, created without the constraints of commission. This piece reflects my interest in the interplay between light and shadow, texture and smoothness, softness and structure.
Using layered weaving and hand-knotting in neutral tones, I aimed to evoke a sense of harmony between opposing forces. The work invites viewers to contemplate the coexistence of difference and unity within a single form.
Duality marks a continued journey into abstract textile art, where form and meaning intertwine freely.

Hope 003
LARGE MACRAME WALL HANGING COMMISSIONED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR IN PORTUGAL
Commissioned by a returning client, Hope 003 is a large-scale macramé wall hanging inspired by my original Hope artwork. The client loved the abstract form and organic rhythm of the first piece and envisioned an even larger version to anchor her living space.
We began the process with an on-site visit, where I met with the client in her home and sketched out a rough concept together. From there, I was given full creative freedom to develop the piece in line with her vision.
Created in natural cotton using various thicknesses, the work plays with depth and texture.
This commission embodies the balance between freedom and intention, adding warmth and movement to the room it now inhabits.

Serra Diptych
SMALL FRAMED ARTWORK COMMISSIONED BY A PRIVATE COLLECTOR IN PORTUGAL
This custom diptych was inspired by my original SERRA artwork, which the client loved for its textural language.
For this commission, we created a set of two framed pieces designed to be displayed together, offering a sense of continuity and balance.
Made with cotton fibers in earthy tones to match her decor, the work combines weaving and hand knotting textile techniques to build a cohesive composition across both frames.
The final result brings warmth, texture, and structure into the space, with a quiet rhythm that reflects the client’s connection to nature and love for grounded design.

Kintsugi Series
INSPIRED BY THE JAPANESE ART OF MENDING
This series of three framed textile artworks explores the beauty of imperfection and healing, drawing inspiration from the traditional Japanese practice of kintsugi — the art of repairing broken pottery.
Each piece embodies the idea that flaws and scars can become a source of strength and unique beauty. Through weaving and negative space, I reflect on resilience, transformation, and acceptance.
Two of the pieces have found homes in private collections in France and the United States, while the third remains part of my personal collection.

Moments Series
A STUDY OF TRANSIENT TEXTURES AND SUBTLE SHIFTS
The Moments Series is inspired by the invisible threads that connect us as we cross paths with others. These works reflect on how small gestures and brief interactions can leave lasting impressions—reminding us to be mindful of the impact we have on those around us.
Through weaving, crochet, and macrame in neutral tones, the series evokes the delicate nature of human connection and the power of kindness. Each piece invites reflection on empathy, compassion, and the ripple effect of everyday moments.
This series is a meditation on how even the smallest acts can transform a life.

Serra
ORIGINAL FRAMED ARTWORK
Serra was inspired by the mountain landscape that surrounds my hometown — a view I often gaze at while working in my studio. The artwork symbolizes two mountains intersecting, capturing a quiet moment of stillness, strength, and grounding.
Using layered textiles and a clean geometric structure, the piece reflects the connection between nature and inner presence.
Completed as a personal work in 2024, Serra has since inspired new commissioned pieces, like the Serra Diptych and Gilded Peaks.

Knots Sculptures
MASTERY OF TRADITIONAL KNOTTING TECHNIQUES IN TEXTILE FORM
This forever growing series of sculptures is crafted using braided cotton and twisted jute, showcasing classic knotting techniques that I have learned and mastered as part of developing my textile practice.
While these knots are traditional and widely known, these pieces represent my deep engagement with the craft, serving as foundational exercises to own and express the tactile language of fiber art.
Each sculpture highlights the textures and forms created through repetition and layering of these timeless knots, reflecting my commitment to craftsmanship and material understanding.
Though not original knot designs, the series documents an essential stage of growth and discipline in my artistic journey.

Remnant Series
ORIGINAL TEXTILE ARTWORKS MADE FROM MY ATELIER WASTE
The Remnant Series explores the creative potential of leftover materials—offcuts and scraps from my atelier—transforming them into intentional compositions.
The first Remnant piece, set the tone for this body of work by embracing the rawness and irregularity of textile waste.
Remnant 002 continues this ethos with a more defined structure, combining asymmetry, neutral tones, and hand-built texture to celebrate sustainability and mindful creation.
Each work in this ongoing series reflects my commitment to using every part of the process and finding beauty in the overlooked.

The Strata Series is inspired by paper layering art, reinterpreted through textile techniques to explore form, depth, and shadow. Each piece uses a combination of weaving, macramé, and hand-sewing to build abstract compositions in neutral tones that evoke a sense of calm and structure.
This body of work has become a signature of my practice—balancing precision with organic flow inside a defined frame.
Several pieces from this ongoing series now live in private collections in Portugal, Poland and US, and it continues to inspire custom new commissions like Frame V.
